About the Position

Proclaiming the Good News of what God has done for us is the heartbeat behind SLBC.

As a cabin leader, you will have an amazing opportunity to be a light for Jesus Christ to children and youth from a wide variety of backgrounds. Around half of the campers that come to SLBC actively attend church and have family members that are Christians, however, the other half of the campers that come to SLBC either have a minimal knowledge of the Gospel or no knowledge at all. There will be lots of opportunity presented to disciple young believers in the LORD and also witness to campers who don’t know God (or are even opposed to Him).

You will lead alongside another cabin leader cabins with around 7-10 campers in it. Our camp weeks usually last for 5 nights (except some of the younger camps which are shorter and our Teen Camp which is 7 nights). SLBC is a rustic camp that runs a lot of activities and skills outside in the beauty of God’s creation.

Volunteer, paid, and bursary positions are available.

  • For all summer, senior staff: $2250 is available for pay
  • For all summer, senior staff who are attending a post-secondary school after camp: SLBC has bursaries available that can cover $5000 of your school’s tuition costs. Learn more information on our website!
