The Food Services Manager manages the overall food service operation at Wesley Acres, including: menu planning, purchasing, preparation, nutrition, safety, service, sanitization, menu planning, staff management, assisting with pricing and record keeping, and any other duties as assigned by Administrative Services Manager and/or Executive Director. The busy season is from May to October serving residents, guests and staff – peak time is July and August. Off season is busy with our conference and retreat centre bookings. The food services department is an integral part of the overall Wesley Acres and campground community.
The qualified applicant should have experience in institutional or large food service settings, knowledge of and experience in food service: ordering, inventory, budgeting, food preparation, family-style serving, cleaning, and institutional kitchen equipment.
Flexible hours, including evenings, weekend and holidays. Interaction with employees, management, and the public. Physically demanding tasks, standing and moving for long periods of time.
