Brad Halsey

Keynote

With two decades of experience in camps and the not-for-profit sector, Brad Halsey has made a meaningful impact on children, youth, and camp professionals across three countries and three Canadian provinces. His work with a wide range of organizations reflects a deep commitment to cultivating positive culture, fostering personal and professional growth, and empowering teams to thrive. Brad currently serves as the Director of Programming at a not-for-profit and camp in Alberta. In this role, he has been instrumental in shaping camp culture, strengthening organizational systems, and mentoring emerging leaders. He has led the development of comprehensive training programs, implemented effective policies, and created mentorship tools that have strengthened overall team health. Brad leads with a focus on community, intentional growth, and the conviction that great programming begins by equipping the right people with the right tools.

Ellen Duffield

Ellen is the Program Coordinator for the Master of Arts in Leadership, Theology and Systems (briercrestseminary.ca/academics/programs/leadership) and Project Lead for Co-Vocational Canada (briercrestseminary.ca/co-vocational-canada) at Briercrest Seminary and camping course adjunct faculty at Briercrest College. Prior to coming to Briercrest, Ellen led the Leadership Studio at Muskoka Woods (retreats.muskokawoods.com/leadership-studio/) where her team trained thousands of student, young adult, non-profit and for-profit leaders every year. She has over thirty years’ experience in fulltime Christian camping, is the founder of Brave Leaders (bravewomen.ca), and the author of several books (ellenduffield.com/).
