Joy Bible Camp is a Christ-centered ministry where our mission is expressed through hospitality, conferencing, and camping. All positions require flexibility, collaboration, teamwork, and a willingness to occasionally serve outside one’s specific job description. Most roles also involve seasonal demands and an on-call component.

Position Overview

The Guest Relations and Bookings Coordinator is a key member of the Joy Bible Camp team. This role oversees all aspects of camp registration, guest communication, and the management of booking processes.
We are seeking an individual who demonstrates a committed Christian faith and upholds the organizational mission and Christ-centered values of Joy Bible Camp. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Christian camp ministry and dedicated to providing a positive, seamless experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services & Communication

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the camp, responding to phones, emails, social media messages, and guest inquiries.

  • Provide a warm, welcoming experience for guests, ensuring that campers and their families enjoy exceptional interactions with the organization.

  • Host guest groups and retreats as scheduled.

Registration & Administration

  • Manage the registration office and oversee all registrations and bookings for JOY Bible Camp.

  • Prepare contracts, organize and communicate guest group needs, check in guests, and assist in recruiting new business.

  • Maintain and manage online registration systems; respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with vendors and accounts supporting guest services.

  • Coordinate payments and financial transactions with the Finance Department.

  • Support internal communications by attending staff meetings, documenting minutes, and preparing reports for other departments.

  • Coordinate camper communications and customer service surveys with the Executive and General Director.

  • Prepare registration and guest services reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

Finance & Operations

  • Prepare financial deposits, process payments, and manage the Point of Sale (POS) system and related software.

  • Oversee the camp sponsorship program, including application and communication processes.

  • Manage office supplies and inventory; place orders as needed.

Staff Oversight & Training

  • Provide seasonal supervision of summer students and/or part-time administrative support.

  • Assist in training and task delegation to junior administrative staff

Qualifications

  • A passionate commitment to serving in a Christian camp environment, in alignment with Joy Bible Camp’s mission and values.

  • Previous customer service experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Google Workspace and the ability to quickly learn new software applications (e.g., Campwise).

  • Strong math skills, organizational abilities, and keen attention to detail.

  • Experience in preparing invoices and processing payments.

  • Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor, with a strong ability to serve guests with excellence.

  • Reliable transportation to and from the camp.

  • Ability to provide a clear police record check (vulnerable sector screening required).

Terms of Employment

  • Position Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

  • Compensation: Salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, and paid vacation. Benefits eligibility begins following a 3-month probationary period.

  • Work Schedule: Flexible seven-day work week; evenings and weekends required as scheduled.

Additional Benefits: Negotiable housing options are included in the compensation package.
