About the Position

Core Responsibilities
• Stewardship—Endeavour to care and properly maintain the Camp property and
equipment to maximize its usefulness and impact for Christian purposes.
• Regulatory—Be aware of all applicable laws and regulations governing all Camp
facilities and ensures continual compliance.
Accountability
• Reports directly to the Camp Director.
• Reports indirectly to the Board at scheduled meetings and upon request.
• Works collaboratively with the Camp Leadership Team.
• Annual performance review with the Camp Director and President.
• Spends funds prudently and within limits set by the Camp Director.

Qualifications
• Commended to the Lord’s work or endorsed by the elders of an assembly of Christians
known as Open Brethren.
• In agreement with our Statement of Faith and Morality Statement.
• Able to live on Camp property in the provided accommodations or in the immediate
vicinity.
• Previous training and/or experience in relevant practical skills preferred.

Key Tasks
• Manages and maintains water supply systems.
• Maintains swimming pool to regulatory standards.
• Regularly inspects all equipment, facilities, and grounds.
• Has lawns mowed regularly and performs weed control.
• Ensures regular housekeeping is provided for staff living quarters.
• Ensures all burns are conducted safely with township approval and according to bylaws.
• Cleans filters, checks batteries and does regular routine maintenance. Addresses health
& safety concerns arising from damage or wear & tear promptly.
• Keeps tools and supplies organized and safely secured.
• Conducts regular patrols of the grounds to prevent trespassing and/or vandalism.
• Trains and oversees non-program volunteer workers, ensuring compliance with all safety
protocols.
• Oversees outside contractors during their time on the property to ensure safety and
good workmanship.
• Prepares proposals and budgets for larger repairs, replacements and/or new builds in
collaboration with the Camp Director to present to the Board for consideration.
• Performs other related work as requested by the Camp Director from time to time.
